Make your own meatballs, and for added effect thread them onto skewers - the kids and their friends will love them! 
Ingredients
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 600 g beef or chicken mince
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (to taste)
  • 30 ml Knorr Tasty Hearty beef soup
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 25 ml coriander, chopped
  • 1 ml salt to season
  • 250 g streaky bacon
  • 1 ml Robertsons black pepper to taste
Cooking Method
  1. Mix all the ingredients, except the bacon, to make the meatballs

  2. Shape the mince mixture into small rounds and wrap one rasher of bacon around each ball

  3. Thread 3-4 balls onto each skewer

  4. Repeat until all the ingredients are used up

  5. Cook in the oven on a baking tray at 180°C or on the braai until cooked through

  6. Serve with a basil mash made up of creamy mashed potato with 1 tablespoon of finely chopped basil or pesto sauce
